sace6 Unleash Debut Album ‘brutalist’ and “nepenthe” Visualizer via Sumerian Records

Pop’s most volatile new duo just dropped the gauntlet. Today, Friday, May 8, 2026, Northeast-bred genre-blenders sace6 have officially released their debut album, ‘brutalist,’ via Sumerian Records — an 11-track gut-punch that refuses to pick a lane between pop melody, R&B intimacy, and full-throttle metal intensity. To mark the occasion, the duo also unveiled the official visualizer for album cut “nepenthe.”

Formed in 2024 by sace. and Noah Thomas, sace6 have spent the lead-up to ‘brutalist’ carpet-bombing streaming services with singles “ego,” “covet,” “allured,” and the jxdn-featuring “reverie,” each one arriving with its own official video. The full record sequences those tracks alongside fresh cuts like opener “besotted,” “basorexia,” “uneven,” “dolorous,” “nepenthe,” “fabulist,” and closer “perfidy.”

In their own words, the duo describe ‘brutalist’ as “the sound designed from the most honest and vulnerable parts of our minds,” adding that the album “took a shape of its own to change the way our ears digest music and to reinstate what ‘pop music’ is.” They go on to call it “the sonic catharsis of our lives throughout the past year… a true experience of loss, grief, and redemption in self.”

Translation: this isn’t background music. It’s the kind of debut that’s built to be felt as deeply as the moments that birthed it — and judging by the tracklist, sace6 are well aware that softness and distortion can absolutely share a room.

‘brutalist’ Tracklist:
1. besotted
2. reverie ft. jxdn
3. basorexia
4. allured
5. ego
6. covet
7. uneven

On the road, sace6 are in the middle of arguably one of the most stacked years a new act could ask for. They’re currently wrapping the fully sold-out Pale Moonlight Tour across North America with Dayseeker, Northlane, and Wind Walkers, with remaining dates hitting Vancouver, Spokane, Sacramento, Pomona, and San Diego before the month is out.

From there, sace6 launch their first-ever US headlining run on Wednesday, June 10, in Cambridge, MA, snaking through New York, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Atlanta, Detroit, and more, with John Harvie supporting on the East Coast leg and shyeye joining for the West Coast run in July. They’ll also throw down at all five Warped Tour dates — Washington, DC; Long Beach; Mexico City; and Orlando — and play Louder Than Life in Louisville on September 20.

Then it’s right back out on the ‘It’s Not You, It’s Me’ Tour with Chiodos, 156/Silence, and Calva Louise, kicking off Thursday, July 30, in Denver and rolling through Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Chicago, Toronto, Providence, Asheville, and Nashville through the end of August.
