Minneapolis dream-pop conjurers she’s green have shared “empty house,” the latest preview of their upcoming EP swallowtail, due July 10, 2026 via Photo Finish Records. The track arrives alongside an official music video directed by the band themselves — a fitting touch for a group that has built its world from the ground up, one mossy corner at a time.

“empty house” eases in on lo-fi, atmospheric guitar work before velvety drums clear the runway for Zofia Smith’s signature otherworldly vocal. It’s a song that drifts and aches in equal measure, leaning into the band’s gift for arrangements that feel fragile and self-assured all at once.

“’empty house’ is a metaphor for the beauty of life’s impermanence,” bandleader Zofia Smith explains. “It pictures your body as an empty house, a place in constant wear and repair, where things come and go—people, memories, and pieces of ourselves.”

The new single follows “paper thin” and February’s thunderous “mettle,” both of which set the stage for swallowtail — a seven-track EP that the band has positioned as the second half of a forthcoming full-length. Tracklist below:

If you’ve been sleeping on she’s green, consider this your wake-up call. The five-piece — Smith, guitarist Liam Armstrong, Raines Lucas, Kevin Seebeck, and Teddy Nordvold — have spent the past year quietly leveling up: a sold-out debut run in China, a knockout KEXP session that DJ Cheryl Waters called “absolutely beautiful,” and “Band to Watch” nods from both NME and Alternative Press. Their 2023 viral cut “Mandy” is sitting north of three million Spotify streams, and the 2025 EP Chrysalis cemented them as one of the most exciting names in the North American shoegaze resurgence.

Now they’re hitting the road — hard. Next week, she’s green kick off a North American tour with Chapterhouse that includes stops at Nothing’s Slide Away Festival in both New York (Brooklyn Paramount, May 16) and Chicago (Aragon Ballroom, May 22). From there, the band links up with Turnover and Narrow Head for a summer run that’s already seeing low-ticket warnings and outright sellouts. Later in the season, they head overseas for first-time appearances at Reading & Leeds and a string of European dates.
