The Aggrolites Drop “Musical Muse” — Second Single From Upcoming LP Super Atomic

LA’s reigning purveyors of Dirty Reggae are back at it. The Aggrolites have just dropped “Musical Muse,” the second single from their forthcoming full-length Super Atomic, due June 5, 2026 via Pirates Press Records. Following lead single “Till the Wheels Fall Off,” the new track is streaming everywhere now — and it’s a warm, groove-forward reminder of why this band has been carrying the torch for the Aggro Sound for two decades.

Frontman Jesse Wagner says there’s something almost otherworldly about the song’s origin. He calls “Musical Muse” “a love letter, unknowingly becoming a song, dedicated to the one thing that keeps you creating. It felt like the words were being given to me. That’s why it says, ‘You write for me the sweetest song.’ That line is literal.” It’s the kind of confession that lands differently when it’s wrapped in the band’s signature organ-soaked, drum-and-bass-driven reggae groove — less mission statement, more spell being cast in real time.

Super Atomic is the long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s beloved comeback record Reggae Now!, and it arrives after years of nonstop global touring that have sharpened the band’s already-famous chemistry to a razor’s edge. “Since Reggae Now!, our band has stayed committed to live entertainment,” Wagner says. “Refining our musical chemistry and continuing to carry the torch for Dirty Reggae.” That live-room intuition guided the entire record. According to Wagner, recording “felt less like experimentation and more like execution. Every part had to earn its place… We trust the groove. That’s always been our compass.”

Eleven new tracks deep, Super Atomic leans into high-energy rhythms while still leaving room for melody, hooks, and the easy uplift the Aggros do better than just about anyone. It’s a record that balances grit and light, weight and bounce — built to detonate in a sweaty club and just as happy spinning on your turntable on a Sunday afternoon.

Pre-orders are flying. The 12″ Black Ice Vinyl is already sold out, as is the Coretex-exclusive Gold Nugget pressing. Amber Marble Vinyl, Assassin Marble Vinyl, and CDs are still kicking around the Pirates Press webstore for now, with EU fans covered by Coretex Records and UK fans by Plastic Head Megastore. There’s also a fresh haul of Aggrolites merch — tees, hoodies, skateboards, pins, patches, stickers — plus 10% off the band’s back catalog vinyl and CDs for a limited time.

After the release, the band heads to Europe for a packed June run that includes SBAM Fest 8 in Wels and This is Ska 2026 in Dessau-Rosslau, before swinging back stateside for the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach on July 24–25. And in February 2027, they hit the road with The Bouncing Souls and The Suicide Machines (with Dead Bars in tow) for a West Coast run through San Diego, Santa Ana, Las Vegas, Berkeley, and Portland.

Press play, pre-order the record, and grab tickets while you can — Super Atomic is about to blow up your speakers.
