SENNA Step Into a New Era With “Out Of The Blue” Video — Watch Now
German metalcore trio SENNA are back, and they’re not easing into their next chapter — they’re kicking the door wide open. The band has just released their compelling new single “Out Of The Blue” via SharpTone Records, and it marks a genuine turning point: longtime guitarist Marcel Dürr is now stepping up to the mic as the group’s new lead vocalist.
It’s the kind of lineup shift that could rattle a less confident band. SENNA, however, sound completely at home in their new skin.

Sonically, “Out Of The Blue” is everything fans have come to expect from SENNA — that luminous fusion of hard rock muscle, progressive ambition, and post-hardcore bite — but there’s a fresh urgency in Dürr’s delivery. The track tackles some heavy emotional territory without ever feeling weighed down by it.
“‘Out Of The Blue’ is about confronting fear of rejection and self-worth with a kind of honesty that turns vulnerability into connection,” the band shares.
That ethos has been baked into SENNA’s DNA from day one. Originally launched as a studio side project before evolving into a full band with Dürr (now vocals, formerly guitar), Fabian Cattarius (bass), and Viktor Warzecha (drums), the group named themselves after the Arabic word for brightness, shine, or glow — and they’ve spent every release since trying to live up to it. Their 2024 SharpTone Records debut LP Stranger To Love proved they could balance intricate melodies with raw emotional depth, while singles like “High Note,” “Rain,” “Blackout,” “Hurricane,” and “Potential” expanded their sonic palette even further.
“It was really liberating,” Dürr says of the band’s early creative philosophy. “Because we weren’t pursuing SENNA as a proper band at first, we had a lot of time to experiment with our sound. Our goal was to simply write the music that we enjoyed, without being boxed into any one genre.”
With Dürr now leading from the front, “Out Of The Blue” feels less like a reinvention and more like a natural next step — one where everything the band has been building toward finally clicks into focus.
“Out Of The Blue” is available now on all streaming platforms via SharpTone Records. Press play, turn it up, and meet the new SENNA.
