Black Veil Brides Unleash Cinematic “Cut” Video Featuring Lilith Czar Ahead of Vindicate Album Release
Just when you thought Black Veil Brides had emptied the dressing room of theatrics, Andy Biersack and company kick the door open one more time. The veteran rockers have released the music video for “Cut,” a sweeping new single featuring Lilith Czar (a.k.a. Juliet Simms of Automatic Loveletter, and yes — Biersack’s wife in real life). It is the final advance track from the band’s seventh studio album, Vindicate, which lands worldwide tomorrow, May 8, via Spinefarm.
“Cut” is the eighth song shared from the record, and it leans hard into the symphonic, orchestral side of the band that the BVB Army has come to love. The arrangement gives Biersack room to stretch, while guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and drummer Christian Coma build the kind of dramatic, cinematic backdrop that makes Czar’s guest vocal feel less like a feature and more like a duet written in the stars.
Directed by Max Moore (Spiritbox, Motionless In White), the video is a live-action reimagining of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride. The band performs as Biersack literally stitches his beloved back together for one final dance before losing her forever. The kicker? Biersack and Czar wore their actual wedding attire from ten years ago and renewed their vows on set. If that is not commitment to the bit — and to each other — nothing is.
“‘Cut’ is a song that for me, is one of those songs in your catalog that feels like you were able to achieve exactly what you wanted to achieve when making it,” Biersack said. “I feel like Lilith’s voice and presence on this song is absolutely perfect. On the lyrical side, just knowing how much the concepts resonate with both me and Lilith makes it all the more special, and then to get to shoot this incredible video together it just feels like a career highlight all around. It’s one of my favorite songs we’ve ever done.”

Vindicate has been building heat for months. From the organ-drenched opener “Invocation To The Muse” to the closing emotional gut-punch of “Eschaton,” the record is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious entries in the BVB catalog. Previously released singles “Bleeders,” “Hallelujah,” “Certainty,” “Vindicate,” and “Revenger” (featuring Machine Head) have already proven the band’s evolution has not cost them an ounce of theatrical bite. Album track “Woe & Pain” even soundtracked the hype package for Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42, while “Sorrow” recently aired during UFC Fight Night. The crossover is real.
