Dominum Unleash Infectious New Single “Doctor Doctor” — Watch the Video and Pre-Order ‘Night Is Calling’

Call a doctor — actually, call Dr. Dead. Germany’s theatrical modern metal phenomenon Dominum have just dropped their infectious new single “Doctor Doctor,” the second taste of their upcoming full-length Night Is Calling, due July 3 via Napalm Records.

If you missed the previous single “The Circus Is In Town,” consider this your second chance to climb aboard the carnival. “Doctor Doctor” is built on crushing riffs, irresistible hooks and the kind of massive sing-along chorus that practically begs to be screamed back from a sea of festival crowds. It’s the band’s signature blend of horror-show theatrics and arena-sized melody, sharpened to a scalpel point.

The accompanying official music video tells what frontman Felix Heldt (better known as Dr. Dead) calls “the bittersweet story of sickening love.”

“What if a doctor needs to go to the doctor? When the one who heals everyone else can’t heal himself anymore,” Dr. Dead explains. “‘Doctor Doctor’ is my confession, wrapped in obsession. A story about a love that feels like a cure at first… but slowly becomes the disease. My pulse races, the symptoms worsen, and suddenly the medicine stops working. I know it’s killing me. But still, I crave another dose. Because some love won’t save you. Some love just eats you up alive.”

Dominum — rounded out by Tommy Kemp (guitars), Patient 0 (bass) and Victor Hilltop (drums) — aren’t exactly newcomers to the spotlight. Their 2024 sophomore album The Dead Don’t Die crashed into the Top 10 of the German charts, and the undead crew has since shared stages with Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia, Battle Beast and Peyton Parrish across Europe.

Night Is Calling promises to push the band’s dark, cinematic universe even further. Produced by Heldt and mixed by Jacob Hansen, the album leans into heavier riffs, bigger choruses and even more theatrical drama, including the title track featuring Battle Beast. Selected pre-order formats also include the bonus live album Live at Wacken 2025 — a nice little prescription refill for collectors.
