T. Graham Brown Welcomes Sawyer Brown’s Mark Miller to LIVE WIRE on SiriusXM Prime Country
Country soul legend T. Graham Brown is back behind the mic for another can’t-miss episode of LIVE WIRE on SiriusXM’s Prime Country Channel 58, and this month he’s pulling up a chair with one of the most recognizable voices in country music history — Mark Miller, the longtime frontman of Sawyer Brown. The new episode premieres Wednesday, May 6 at 10/9 p.m. CT, with additional airings sprinkled throughout the month.
If you grew up with country radio in the late ’80s and ’90s, you know exactly why this conversation matters. Sawyer Brown shot to national fame after winning Star Search back in 1983 and never looked back, racking up more than 20 Top 10 hits along the way — including “Some Girls Do,” “Cafe On The Corner,” “Dirt Road,” “The Race Is On,” and “Six Days On The Road.” Miller’s high-energy delivery and unmistakable voice have powered the band through four decades of relentless touring and chart success, and Brown promises a candid, brother-to-brother visit that fans of both artists won’t want to miss.
“This time on LIVE WIRE, I’ll be visiting with brother Mark Miller of Sawyer Brown and playing some of the greatest live country music ever recorded,” Brown shares. “At the end of the show, I’ll throw in my usual wild card song. Tune in to SiriusXM Prime Country channel 58 and check us out.”
Alongside the Miller interview, the episode digs into live cuts from a murderer’s row of country heavy hitters: The Kentucky Headhunters, EXILE, The Judds, Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams, Jr., and America. If you can’t catch it live, the show is available on demand through the SiriusXM app and Pandora NOW for subscribers.
Additional May airings include:
Thursday, May 7 at 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. ET
Sunday, May 10 at 11 a.m. ET
Tuesday, May 19 at 12 a.m. and 11 p.m. ET
Thursday, May 21 at 3 a.m. ET
Saturday, May 23 at 2 p.m. ET
Sunday, May 24 at 6 p.m. ET
Monday, May 25 at 12 p.m. ET
This month also marks a deeply personal milestone for Brown — the second anniversary of his induction as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Officially welcomed into the Opry family by Vince Gill on May 3, 2024, Brown still calls the honor one of the greatest blessings of his life.
“Becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry is one of the greatest honors of my life, and two years later, it still feels just as humbling as the night Vince Gill welcomed me into the family,” Brown reflects. “The Opry is the heart and soul of country music — a place where faith, friendship, songs, and stories live forever. Every time I step into that circle, I’m reminded of where I’ve been, who helped me get here, and how blessed I am to still be doing what I love.”
Brown also recently shared a moving moment off-stage during a Nashville TV taping, meeting Col. Donald “Doc” Ballard — one of only sixty-five living Medal of Honor recipients. Ballard earned the nation’s highest military honor for throwing himself on a grenade to protect his fellow soldiers in Vietnam, and also received three Purple Hearts during his tour of duty. “He’s a great man, and I was privileged to shake his hand,” Brown said. “Men like him are few and far between. God bless you, Col. Ballard, and thank you for your service to our nation.”
When he’s not behind the SiriusXM mic, Brown is doing what he does best — hitting the road. Upcoming tour stops include The Amish Country Theater in Berlin, Ohio (May 9), Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa with Lorrie Morgan (May 16), two nights at Caesars Southern Indiana in Elizabeth, Ind. (Aug. 7-8), the Clay Cooper Theatre in Branson, Mo. with The Malpass Brothers (Oct. 9), and the Auburn vs. Georgia Party in Dadeville, Ala. (Oct. 17).
While you wait for Wednesday’s episode, dig into Brown’s chart-topping blues-meets-country album From Memphis To Muscle Shoals — the kind of record that reminds you exactly why this man’s voice has soundtracked everything from Grand Ole Opry stages to Taco Bell “Run For The Border” commercials.
