Mimi Barks Unleashes “JERICHO” Video, Storms the U.S. on Debut Tour with Little Miss Nasty
Berlin-forged, London-sharpened, Los Angeles-based provocateur Mimi Barks has returned with “JERICHO,” the second blistering preview from her forthcoming EP “Dreamstate of Fear,” due July 24 via her own DEATHKISS Records imprint. If you thought “Dreamstate of Hell” cracked the door open on her darker new chapter, “JERICHO” kicks it clean off the hinges.

This is the sound of Mimi pushing her self-defined “DOOM TRAP” further into the red — alternative metal weight, industrial grit, and modern rock muscle all colliding under heavy guitars, dynamic vocals, and a chorus built to ring out arenas. It’s heavy, it’s hook-driven, and it doesn’t apologize for either.
Thematically, “JERICHO” is about inner collapse and the kind of transformation that only happens once you’ve torn down everything false. “What looks like collapse is really release,” Mimi explains, “an undoing of everything that was never truly mine. There’s no real enemy unless you choose to become one to yourself… The old world dissolves making space for something unknown. That’s where freedom begins. What will you choose? Heaven or Hell?”
The visual — shot in Bordeaux and the heart of Paris by underground director NineNine99 and Phenix Agency (Ho99o9, Boys Noize, Kalash, Gambi) — matches the song’s intensity beat for beat. It’s cinematic, claustrophobic, and feels like watching someone shed a skin in real time.
Mimi Barks is also in the thick of her debut U.S. run right now, opening for Little Miss Nasty across the West Coast before flipping back to Europe for summer dates with Wargasm and KING 810, plus festival slots at Vainstream and Till Fest — yes, the one curated by Rammstein’s Till Lindemann. A UK headline run with SWARM6IX rounds out September.

“Dreamstate of Fear” is available now for pre-order on limited edition LP, tape and CD. If “JERICHO” is the appetizer, the full EP is shaping up to be the heaviest, most focused statement of Mimi Barks’ career so far — and given the run she’s already had from Download to Wacken to Bloodstock, that’s saying something. Catch her on the road while these rooms are still small enough to feel the impact firsthand.
