Accept Mark 50 Years of Heavy Metal With All-Star Album “Teutonic Titans 1976-2026” on Napalm Records
Fifty years in, and Accept still aren’t aiming for anything less than the throat. The German heavy metal institution — the band that practically welded the blueprint for European power metal in the late ’70s and early ’80s — is marking a half-century of riffs, leather, and full-volume defiance with a landmark new album: Teutonic Titans 1976-2026, due September 4, 2026 via Napalm Records. Pre-orders are live now.
This isn’t a quiet victory lap. It’s a 19-track summit meeting featuring 50 A-list guests from across the metal universe, all paying tribute to the songs that shaped a genre. Architect-in-chief Wolf Hoffmann is joined by current vocalist Mark Tornillo throughout, while a rotating cast of legends takes turns reimagining the catalog from I’m a Rebel (1980) through Eat the Heat (1989). No two tracks share the same lineup — every song is its own custom-built monster.
The guest list reads like a heavy metal Hall of Fame ballot. Tobias Forge of Ghost steps to the mic for “Save Us,” backed by Ray Luzier on drums. Phil Anselmo, Kirk Hammett, and Mikkey Dee absolutely demolish “Fast As A Shark.” The Metal God himself, Rob Halford, takes the wheel on “Balls to the Wall,” joined by Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs. And in one of the more unexpected pairings of the year, Billy Corgan and David Ellefson team up on a reimagined “Love Child.”
That’s just the marquee. Also showing up to swing hammers: K. K. Downing, Bobby Blitz, Hansi Kürsch, Chris Jericho, Ralf Scheepers, Billy Sheehan, Ola Englund, and Jeff Loomis, among many others. Accept’s current lineup — Hoffmann, bassist Martin Motnik, guitarist Philip Shouse, and drummer Christopher Williams — also re-records “Hellhammer” with Jason McMaster on vocals.
“There is no better way to celebrate this 50-year anniversary than to have our musical peers, friends, and inspirations come together with us to record these classic Accept songs, which I am honored and proud to share with the World,” says Hoffmann. “I hope everyone enjoys this very special record as much as we all enjoyed making it.”
