Betty Buckley Releases New Single “Enough,” Title Track of Forthcoming July 17 Album

When the so-called “Voice of Broadway” decides she has something to say, you stop what you’re doing and listen. Tony Award-winning stage and screen icon Betty Buckley has released her new single “Enough,” the title track of her forthcoming 19th studio album, set to drop Friday, July 17, 2026 via Palmetto Records.

The song comes from a pretty notable pen — Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, who wrote “Enough” for her upcoming musical The Interestings, premiering in 2027. In other words, you’re getting an early peek at a new Bareilles tune, delivered by one of the most distinctive voices in American theater. Not a bad trade.

“Sara Bareilles has written a beautiful song ‘Enough,'” Buckley says of the track. “It’s from her new musical The Interestings, set to premiere in 2027.”

The full Enough album was recorded live at Buckley’s 2025 residency at Joe’s Pub in New York City, capturing the kind of intimate, in-the-room storytelling that has defined her career across Broadway, film, and concert halls. Buckley, a 2012 Theatre Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the American Songbook Association’s 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award, has built a five-decade catalog on the rare ability to fuse vocal artistry with full-blooded acting — and a live recording is exactly the right setting for that gift.

For the uninitiated (no judgment, just catch up): Buckley won her Tony for originating Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats — yes, she’s the reason “Memory” lives rent-free in your head — earned a second Tony nomination for Triumph of Love, and drew an Olivier nod for her Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard in London, a performance she reprised on Broadway to equally rapturous reviews. On screen, she’s logged unforgettable turns in Carrie, Tender Mercies, Frantic, Split, Imaginary, and most recently A24’s Eternity opposite Miles Teller and Elizabeth Olsen.

Album number 19 is a milestone by any measure, but Enough sounds less like a victory lap and more like an artist still digging in. Mark your calendar for July 17, and in the meantime, hit play on the single — and maybe keep a tissue handy.
