gracie Signs to Tooth & Nail Records, Announces Debut Album “Miss Misfortunately” + Drops “Vendetta” Lyric Video

Tooth & Nail Records has officially welcomed alt-pop firebrand gracie to its roster, and she’s wasting zero time making her presence felt. The artist will release her new album, Miss Misfortunately, on June 26, and she’s setting the table with a sharp new lyric video for the single “Vendetta.”

Built on shimmering keys and a snappy, melodic backbone, “Vendetta” is what gracie calls “another feminine rage anthem.” The bright production cleverly disguises the venom in lines like, “You can’t blame her for what you did, and I know she told her therapist about you.” It’s pop with a pulse and a grudge — a combination that suits her perfectly.

“I wrote this one about an old friend of mine whose boyfriend decided to acquire multiple girlfriends,” gracie explains. “I obviously hate cheating.”

gracie writes from a place of necessity rather than ambition. Her songs trade in the kind of honesty usually reserved for 2 a.m. conversations between best friends, with no topic considered too messy or too personal. That candor lands against a backdrop of artful alternative pop laced with rock grit and indie sensibility — a sound shaped by everyone from Paramore and My Chemical Romance to Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, and State Champs, with detours through Céline Dion and Whitney Houston for good measure.

“I’m not making music because I want to be successful; I’m making music because I have to,” she says. “I need to tell an authentic story. Sonically, it’s a collection of everything that’s influenced me. I’m ready to express so many thoughts I hadn’t been given permission to express before. The record is about being human, laughing at yourself, telling scary stories, and holding nothing back. It’s who I am as an artist.”

Miss Misfortunately took shape throughout 2025, when gracie linked up with producer Austin Davis at his Nashville studio. Bonding over a shared love of early-2000s rock, the two built the album’s foundation together — an emotional excavation years in the making, sparked by a long-lingering breakup gracie was finally ready to confront on tape.

“This breakup was monumental in my life, and I held onto these ideas for years,” she admits. “I had gotten with a new team in 2025, and everybody backed my vision. I decided to go back to how I felt and close the chapter of the story.”
