Siamese Announce New Album “dissolution” Out June 26 Via Long Branch Records, Share Visceral New Single “dark”
Some records are meticulously planned. Others, like Siamese’s forthcoming LP “dissolution,” are the kind that show up uninvited, kick the door in, and refuse to leave until they’ve been made. The Danish modern metal quartet have announced that their new album arrives June 26 via Long Branch Records, and if lead single “dark” is any indication, this is the heaviest, most confrontational chapter of their career so far.
Following 2021’s “Home” and 2024’s “Elements” — a run that saw the band rack up more than 100 million streams and share stages with the likes of Korn, Corey Taylor, and Dayseeker — “dissolution” arrives at a genuine turning point. Written in the wake of one of the band’s primary songwriters exiting the fold, the album forced Siamese to reassess everything: the process, the intent, and ultimately, the identity of the band itself. The result is a project that’s less songwriting camp and more four-piece unit bleeding into the same room. It’s heavier. It’s more instinctive. It’s more aggressive. And it’s a lot more introverted — anchored, at its emotional core, by a deeply complicated father-son relationship that runs like a live wire through the tracklist.
The band didn’t do it alone. “dissolution” was shaped alongside a tight circle of collaborators including Zachary Baker, Mads Zelasny, Zach Jones, KJ Strock, and Paul Spirou — contributors who added perspective without sanding down the album’s jagged edges.
The first taste, “dark,” is exactly the kind of opening statement this era deserves. The track swings from hushed vulnerability into a full-bore explosion of catharsis, with vocalist Mirza Radonjica sounding like he’s exorcising something he’s been carrying for years. The accompanying video mirrors that emotional whiplash — intimate one moment, unhinged the next. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/D8VZck22TL0
