Niall Horan Presses Pause on “Little More Time,” the New Single From Upcoming Album Dinner Party

Niall Horan just hit pause on the clock. Today, the Irish singer-songwriter shared “Little More Time,” a warm, nostalgia-soaked new single that he’s already calling his favorite song from Dinner Party, his forthcoming fourth studio album. The LP arrives June 5 via Capitol Records, and on the strength of this first taste, it sounds like Horan has traded arena gloss for something far more lived-in.

“‘Little More Time’ is a song about wanting time to stand still,” Horan explained. “If you could just press pause and the world would stop yet you could still live within the world like no one was watching. I spend a lot of time away from home. So having found roots and wanting to be at home more, I felt compelled to write a song about the smaller moments and wishing that you could just stay in them.”

That longing is baked into the track’s DNA. It’s an early-aughts-leaning slow-burner, with Horan stretching melodies like taffy and begging the night to hold on a little longer — the musical equivalent of that friend at the afterparty who keeps flipping the record over. GQ nailed it, calling the song “an anthem for any 30something looking down the barrel of midlife” and “a Bernard’s Watch for the adults in the room.” If you know, you know.

Dinner Party is executive produced by Horan’s longtime collaborators Julian Bunetta and John Ryan, with additional co-writing and production from Afterhrs, Amy Allen, Ian Franzino, Andrew Haas, Steph Jones, Rocky Block and Joel Little. Earlier this month, Horan shared the intimate title track — a song Clash compared to “a lost Crowded House track” — and the entire record is shaping up as a cinematic, organic collection about connection, roots, and the people you want around your table.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see it live. Horan will perform on the Citi Concert Series on “TODAY” at Rockefeller Center on June 12, then hit co-headlining stadium shows with Thomas Rhett at Nashville’s GEODIS Park on July 9 and Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA on July 18. The UK/EU leg of Dinner Party Live On Tour kicks off September 22 in Birmingham, England at Utilita Arena Birmingham.

A multi-Platinum-selling artist who first broke through with One Direction, Horan has sold more than 90 million records worldwide as a solo act, with chart-topping albums Flicker, Heartbreak Weather, The Show and The Show: Encore, plus the 1.2-million-ticket juggernaut that was 2024’s “THE SHOW” LIVE ON TOUR.
