Strata Sign to The Artery Foundation, Drop Fiery New Single “SOAR” — Listen Now

California rock veterans Strata are officially back, and they’re wasting absolutely zero time letting you know about it.

The gold-selling outfit — best known for “Piece by Piece,” the RIAA-certified hit that soundtracked both the 2004 The Punisher film and Madden NFL 2005 — has signed with The Artery Foundation and is marking the occasion with a brand new single called “SOAR.” If you were hoping for a gentle, nostalgic stroll through the mid-2000s, you came to the wrong place.

Produced by Eric Ron, who has helmed records for Papa Roach and Bad Omens, “SOAR” lives up to its title with a coiled, tension-filled arrangement that shifts between atmospheric restraint and explosive release. Angular guitar work slices through the mix while vocalist Eric Victorino does what he’s always done best — channels raw emotional volatility into something that feels cinematic and deeply human at the same time.

Speaking on the track, Victorino offered some characteristically unflinching insight: “‘Soar’ captures the collapse of someone who once felt untouchable, tracing that fall from clarity and confidence into doubt, temptation, and self-betrayal. It’s a dark spiral where faith glitches, identity fractures, and the pull of the algorithm becomes impossible to ignore. Equal parts confession and confrontation, the song wrestles with the most human truth of all: sometimes the person you trust the least is yourself.”

Heavy words for a heavy track.

For those who need a refresher, Strata carved a reputation in the 2000s by blurring the lines between post-hardcore intensity and atmospheric modern rock before that kind of genre-blending became an industry-wide default setting. Their self-titled debut and the follow-up Strata Presents The End Of The World built a fiercely loyal fanbase that never quite stopped waiting.

The wait is over.

This is not a reunion cash-grab. The band has re-emerged sharper, faster, and more focused — channeling decades of life experience into music that hits harder than anything in their back catalog. The Artery Foundation, which helped launch the careers of A Day To Remember, Motionless In White, Dance Gavin Dance, Beartooth, and Sleeping With Sirens, among many others, is the ideal home for a band operating at full power with everything to prove and nothing to lose.

Expect more from Strata sooner rather than later. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and press play.
