Renée Fleming and Béla Fleck will bring their “The Fiddle and the Drum, featuring My Bluegrass Heart” collaboration to the 2026 Telluride Bluegrass Festival, organizers announced today.

The performance pairs the opera singer with the banjo virtuoso and his My Bluegrass Heart ensemble for a program that bridges classical and roots music traditions. Fleming, a four-time Grammy winner and recipient of the National Medal of Arts, has performed at venues from the Metropolitan Opera to the Super Bowl.

Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart project features bassist Edgar Meyer, mandolinist Sam Bush, fiddler Stuart Duncan, guitarist Bryan Sutton and fiddler Michael Cleveland. The group’s 2021 album earned two Grammy Awards and marked Fleck’s return to his bluegrass roots after decades exploring jazz, classical and world music.

The collaboration represents part of a broader lineup announcement for the festival’s 2026 edition. The four-day event takes place each June in Telluride, Colorado, drawing thousands of attendees to the mountain town for performances across multiple stages.

Festival organizers have not yet revealed ticket sale dates or pricing information for the 2026 event. The complete lineup and schedule will be announced in phases over the coming months.
