Billy Strings Details Inaugural Ionia Freak Fair

The Ionia Freak Fair has announced its 2026 lineup, featuring Billy Strings performing across two nights. The festival returns to its Michigan home with a roster of bluegrass and jam band performers.

Billy Strings will headline both Friday and Saturday nights at the festival grounds. The Grammy-winning guitarist and singer continues his rise as one of the most sought-after acts in contemporary bluegrass music.

Leftover Salmon joins the bill as a co-headliner. The Colorado-based band has been performing their blend of bluegrass, rock, and country for over three decades.

Sierra Hull rounds out the primary lineup announcement. The mandolin player and singer-songwriter brings her progressive take on bluegrass to the festival stage.

Additional performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The Ionia Freak Fair takes place July 16-18, 2026, at the Ionia Free Fairgrounds.

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 15 at 10 a.m. EST through the festival website. Three-day passes start at $175, with single-day tickets available for $75.

The festival will feature multiple stages, camping options, and vendor areas. Organizers expect attendance to match last year’s crowd of 15,000 people across the weekend.
