Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Recruits Jesse Welles, Ani DiFranco, More For 2026 Lineup

The Rocky Mountain Folks Festival has announced its 2026 lineup for the upcoming event in Lyons, Colorado. Jesse Welles, Ani DiFranco and Junior Brown will headline the festival.

The three-day festival will take place at Planet Bluegrass, the venue that has hosted the event since its inception. Organizers confirmed the dates as July 31 through August 2, 2026.

Jesse Welles will perform on Friday night as the opening headliner. The singer-songwriter has gained recognition for his blend of folk and Americana music. His set will close out the first day of performances.

Ani DiFranco takes the Saturday night slot. The Buffalo native brings decades of experience to the festival stage, having released over twenty albums throughout her career. She continues to tour internationally.

Junior Brown will headline Sunday’s performances. The guitarist and vocalist is known for his “guit-steel,” an instrument he invented that combines a guitar with a steel guitar. His music incorporates elements of country, western swing and rockabilly.

Festival passes go on sale December 1 through the official website. Single-day tickets will be available starting January 15, 2026. Camping passes can be purchased separately.

The festival will also feature workshops, children’s activities and vendor booths throughout the weekend. A complete schedule of events will be released in March 2026.
