Nelsonville Music Festival Sets Initial 2026 Lineup: Geese, Wednesday, Big Freedia

Nelsonville Music Festival organizers announced the first wave of performers for the 2026 event, with Geese, Wednesday and Big Freedia topping the bill.

The festival, scheduled for May 28-31 at Robbins Crossing in Nelsonville, Ohio, will feature over 40 artists across four days. Geese, the Brooklyn-based rock band, will perform Saturday night, while Wednesday takes the stage Friday and Big Freedia closes the festival Sunday.

Additional performers include Mdou Moctar, Dummy, Water From Your Eyes, Julie Byrne, and local acts including Wussy, The Sidekicks and Good Shade. The announcement represents approximately half of the total lineup, with more artists to be revealed in February.

Tickets go on sale Friday at noon through the festival’s website. Four-day passes start at $185, with individual day passes available for $75. Camping options range from $60 to $120 for the weekend.

The festival returns after taking 2025 off for reorganization. Organizers cited the need to reassess logistics and booking strategies following changes in the live music industry.

Tim Peacock, festival director, stated that the diverse lineup reflects the event’s commitment to showcasing both emerging and established artists across multiple genres. The festival will maintain its four-stage setup, with performances running from noon to midnight each day.

Previous iterations of the festival have drawn approximately 5,000 attendees annually. Organizers expect similar numbers for 2026, with capacity capped at 6,000 to maintain the event’s atmosphere.
