Bob Dylan Joins Farm Aid 40 Lineup

Bob Dylan will join the Farm Aid 40 lineup when the benefit concert comes to Minneapolis this Saturday, marking the first time the event has been held in Minnesota.

The Minnesota native will perform alongside Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and other musicians at the Mortensen Hall in downtown Minneapolis. Farm Aid organizers announced Dylan’s addition to the roster earlier this week.

Farm Aid raises funds and awareness for family farmers across the United States. The organization has generated over $60 million since Nelson, Young, and Mellencamp founded it in 1985.

Dylan, who was born Robert Zimmerman in Duluth and raised in Hibbing, has maintained ties to Minnesota throughout his career. He owns property in the state and has performed there regularly over the decades.

This year’s concert will feature performances from Dave Matthews, Margo Price, and Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real. The event will stream live on Farm Aid’s website and various platforms.

Farm Aid 40 comes as American farmers face challenges including drought, rising input costs, and market volatility. The organization provides resources for farmers in crisis through its hotline and grant programs.

Tickets for the Minneapolis show remain available through official vendors. The concert begins at noon on Saturday and is expected to run for approximately six hours.
