The Big Ears Festival returns to Knoxville, Tennessee from March 26-29, 2026, with David Byrne, Robert Plant and Flying Lotus leading the performer lineup.

The four-day event will take place across multiple venues throughout downtown Knoxville. Big Ears has announced over 150 artists spanning jazz, rock, electronic music, contemporary classical and world music traditions.

David Byrne will present his latest solo work on March 27 at the Tennessee Theatre. The Talking Heads founder continues touring behind his recent album while incorporating theatrical elements into his performances.

Robert Plant and his band Saving Grace are scheduled for March 28 at the Bijou Theatre. Plant’s set will feature interpretations of spirituals, folk songs and blues standards alongside material from his extensive catalog.

Flying Lotus brings his electronic production to the Mill & Mine on March 29. The Los Angeles-based artist will perform with 3D visuals designed specifically for the Big Ears appearance.

Additional performers include saxophonist Kamasi Washington, composer Terry Riley, vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant, and the Kronos Quartet. The festival will also host free performances at Market Square and panel discussions at the Knoxville Museum of Art.

Weekend passes are currently available for $275 through the festival website. Single-day tickets will go on sale January 15, 2026, with prices starting at $85. Big Ears expects attendance of approximately 30,000 people over the four days based on previous years.
