10 Years Later: June 2015

Every month, we’re going to look back at the Milwaukee releases that are celebrating a milestone anniversary. We dug into our archives, and here are the 10-year old releases that are still available for streaming today:

Soul Low – “Ritalin Kidz”:

What we said in 2015: “Soul Low just released a visual for an unreleased track, on some Beyoncé type ish. The Facebook post going with it sounds like the track may very well be released on their next album. However, if you’ve seen them live recently, chances are you’ve heard “Ritalin Kidz”, as its found a way into their live set.”

Gerald Walker – “No Heart Feelings”

What we said in 2015: “At last, the wait is finally over to hear the start of Gerald Walker’s “Target” era. The first single from his long-awaited album, “No Heart Feelings”, hit the internet yesterday. While the production may have improved beyond his last few mixtapes (which have also sounded stellar in their own right), the sound is still uniquely Gerald. With that combination of hip hop and R&B, the national stage is about to get an even bigger dose of Gerald Walker, and this single is just the start of it.”
Greatest Lakes – “Nothing Left”
Munch Lauren – “Big Money”
Bonus: Hemispheres – “Buried Alive”

Bonus: Estates – “Tuesday”
