VIDEO: Crystal Lake Featuring Jesse McFaddin – “Black And Blue”

The world of melodic heavy rock transcends continents, and Japanese band Crystal Lake prove that with their new video for “Black And Blue” from their upcoming album, “True North”.  The clip for the song, directed by Kei Ikeda, was shot in both New York and Tokyo, featuring rooftops in both cities. Judging by their sound, Crystal Lake could make a name for themselves in both Japan and the United States with this single. This is tough, gritty rock with a hip hop twist via featured artist Jesse McFaddin, a member of Japanese bands Rize and The Bonez. While there’s a bit of nostalgia that brings you back to the heyday of rap-rock in the early 2000s, Crystal Lake find a way to do heavy rock that doesn’t feel dated.
