VIDEO: The Coathangers – “Perfume”

The summer may be fleeting, but Atlanta trio The Coathangers are holding onto every last drop of sunshine and carefree fun that they can. “Perfume”, the band’s new single, is straight up, no-frills, fun punk music with a little bit of a pop inspiration. There’s tremendous potential for crossover success, with the combination of a catchy hook and just the right amount of punk edge to hit the radio airwaves. The Matt Odom-directed video for the song is also very summer-jam friendly, featuring everything that makes you want to forget we’re already into football season, holiday sales, and the dreaded Pumpkin Spice Latte. “Perfume” comes from “Nosebleed Weekend”, currently out on Suicide Squeeze Records. Check out the video below, and let’s pretend the calendar doesn’t say September for another four minutes.
