Milwaukee Artist of the Week – 2/15/13 – Austin Nivarel

Are you a Milwaukee musician/band? You can submit your music to be the Milwaukee Artist of the Week by emailing links to info@BreakingAndEntering.net. We’ll check out every submission we get!

This week’s Milwaukee Artist of the Week is truly a unique talent, Austin Nivarel. Austin was another artist that we discovered when we got a submission for MKE Radio, and like so many of our other artists of the week, it was apparent on the first listen that Austin was very talented. At around two decades old, Austin already has had the opportunity to make a record in California with Number One Gun frontman Jeff Schneeweis. Every track from Austin is very polished, and it’s almost a guarantee that you will be singing his hooks either after or during your first listen.

Nivarel draws influences from both the pop and pop punk worlds, seamlessly blending Adele and the Almost, amongst countless other influences. It wouldn’t be a stretch to see his music hitting the mainstream hard in the near future. There is a clear southern California influence in his radio-ready tracks, namely January, which is very reminiscent of the golden era of Something Corporate. Hopefully we hear a lot more from Austin in the coming months. It is safe to say that Austin Nivarel is on the fast track to becoming another local success story, and we wish nothing but the best for him.
