2019 Rebel Stage Lineup Announced

While we make a big deal about the Summerfest lineup, the Rebel Stage is just as much of a showcase of local talent at The Big Gig. The longest running DIY stage at the festival, The Rebel Stage has grown significantly in recent years, and that will once again happen at this year’s festival. VIDEO: Yogie B & Keez – “Live It Up” (Premiere)

Milwaukee duo Yogie B & Keez have been putting out quality content surrounding their late 2018 release, “The Butter Knife Effect”, and today we’re proud to premiere their new clip for “Live It Up”. The track is one of the more pop-friendly tracks from the project, and definitely a party-ready song as well. While the group has a knack for catchy hooks, there’s some witty bars mixed in as well, with Keez rapping that “every night is a weekend / every morning is a Monday”. The group has tremendous potential, and you can hear that on this track.

In addition to the new video from Gonzales Visuals, Yogie B & Keez are announcing a benefit show, Hip Hop Against Heroin, on May 31st at Walker’s Point Music Hall. The show will feature several local acts, and is in partnership with 4th Dimension Sobriety and The Rebel Stage, as well as Breaking And Entering. For many Summerfest attendees, there’s a bit of mystery surrounding The Rebel Stage, but for others, it’s a hidden haven of local music at The Big Gig. Operated by Whiskey of the Damned, The Rebel Stage is in their 11th year of operation, with each year getting bigger and better within the festival grounds. There’s still some gaps, but here’s the preliminary lineup for The Rebel Stage at Summerfest this year. Check out their brand new website for more updates.
