The momentum seems to be moving in the right direction for Milwaukee indie pop outfit Clear Pioneer. The band played Summerfest this year on the Rebel Stage, released an addicting, catchy single in “Tacoma” following that, and now have their sophomore EP, “Clouded Mouth” out to the world. While the EP’s title track serves as a euphoric, mood-building intro, the rest of the project is a pure pop dance party. The combination of electronic production and analog blend well with one another. If you like just a bit of 80’s retro glaze on your indie pop, “Clouded Mouth” is a must-listen. Today, we’re thrilled to premiere a new single from Clear Pioneer. “Tacoma” features a synth-heavy brand of indie pop, with a very danceable, almost skipping beat. The Milwaukee band has been around for some time, and are currently in the process of getting ready to release an EP, which “Tacoma” will be part of. The band has found their way into Summerfest via the Rebel Stage, as well as playing alongside bands spanning from the likes Nevershoutnever to Jesse McCartney. The band’s sound lends them into several genres, and with similar sounds finding their way into mainstream releases (see: Paramore, Misterwives, etc.), it’s not far-fetched to say that Clear Pioneer could make a big name for themselves in the near future.
