9 A.M. has a new single out, and there’s a feeling of comfortable tension on “Something’s Wrong.” Anchored on an addictive guitar riff, the song manages to feel simplistic, while gaining depth from their half-hearted vocal delivery. 9 A.M. isn’t trying to be someone their not, but rather living comfortably in a melodic pocket, with an underlying feeling of pure anxiety looking to break out. “Something’s Wrong” comes on the heels of their “A Sensation You Thought Would Stick” project, and it seems like nothing but evolution from the singer/songwriter.
