If you haven’t heard, Christmas is coming up. Just an FYI, everyone. For me, this typically means the nausea and headache associated with traditional, inescapable Christmas music. However, if someone is going to serenade me out of said symptoms, it’s definitely Caley Conway, and she does just that on her new holiday EP, “Heart Be Light”. Vocally, Conway is an underrated treasure, and her arrangements, along with the assistance John Larkin and Liam O’Brien, come across beautifully on this EP. It’s a warm, atmospheric take on traditional, and definitely a breath of fresh air on all four of these tracks.
