Terrapin Family Band, David Nelson Band & BERTHA: Grateful Drag Lead Dead On The Creek 20th Anniversary Lineup

The Terrapin Family Band will headline the 2026 Dead On The Creek festival, joining David Nelson Band, BERTHA: Grateful Drag, Jackie Greene & Friends and Moonalice for the four-day event in Laytonville, California.

The festival marks its 20th anniversary this year, running from June 11 through June 14. Organizers announced the lineup this week, confirming the return of the event to its traditional venue in Mendocino County.

The Terrapin Family Band brings together former members of Furthur and other projects associated with the Grateful Dead legacy. The group has performed at venues across the country since forming in 2012.

David Nelson Band continues its long run on the circuit, with Nelson having played alongside Jerry Garcia in various configurations since the 1960s. The band maintains a regular touring schedule throughout the western United States.

BERTHA: Grateful Drag combines drag performance with interpretations of classic songs from the Grateful Dead catalog. The San Francisco-based act has gained attention for its approach to the material.

Jackie Greene will perform with a rotating cast of musicians for his Friends set. Greene has collaborated with Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, and other members of the Dead organization over the past two decades.

Moonalice rounds out the announced headliners, bringing their brand of psychedelic rock to Laytonville. The band features bassist Pete Sears and guitarist Barry Sless among its members.

Tickets for Dead On The Creek go on sale next month through the festival website. Early bird passes start at $250 for the full weekend.
