High Sierra Music Festival Reveals New Location For 2026
The High Sierra Music Festival will relocate from its longtime home at the Plumas County Fairgrounds after 25 years, organizers announced today. The annual event will move to a new location beginning with the 2026 festival.
Festival representatives confirmed the decision to leave the Quincy, California venue where the event has been held since its inception. The specific location for the 2026 festival has not yet been announced.
The four-day festival typically draws thousands of attendees each July for performances spanning bluegrass, funk, rock, and jam band music. Past lineups have featured acts including String Cheese Incident, Greensky Bluegrass, and Railroad Earth.
Organizers stated they plan to maintain the festival’s format and summer schedule despite the venue change. Additional details about the new location and ticket sales are expected to be released in the coming months.
The Plumas County Fairgrounds has hosted the event since it began as a smaller gathering in the late 1990s. The festival grew to become one of Northern California’s signature music events over its quarter-century run at the fairgrounds.
The 2025 festival will proceed as scheduled at the Plumas County Fairgrounds for one final year before the transition. Dates for the 2025 event are set for July 3-6.
