While he’s known for a history of hip hop in Milwaukee, Twan Mack spent time growing up on the east coast. That has always remained part of his sound, but also comes out in some collaborations, including his latest with Mike Titan and Tragedy Khadafi, “Ghetto Bastard”. Produced by Mack, the track has an east coast, boom bap feel to it, and a crazy vocal sample at the heart of the beat. All three emcees put down authentic verses that you could mistake for rap’s golden era on flow alone, but with updated references to living in New York City and Milwaukee.
