After a relatively quiet release year by his standards, Sharrod Sloans is back with the 2019 edition of his “Freetape” series. The new project is ten tracks, featuring production from frequent collaborators Ink and Drums, Mike Regal, Yung Dev and Derelle Rideout, as well as Isea. Sloans isn’t holding back with the flow, hitting his signature double-time delivery frequently throughout the tape. There’s also plenty of bars sprinkled throughout each track, giving it replay value on just the attempt to try to catch all of the quotables in each listen. We know Sharrod Sloans stays working, so if he kept a low profile for most of this year, there’s a lot in the vault that we probably won’t see until 2020. Get your fix with “Freetape ’19” below:
