While we have come to know Lex Allen for not only his vocal skills, but also his personality, his newest video features one of his most emotionally vulnerable songs. “7th Hour” is from Allen’s 2018 project, “Table 7: Sinners & Saints”, and puts his vocal range on full display, guided by only a piano. The VHS-styled video, from director Moriah Bame, gives an image to the song’s vulnerability, depicting the loneliness that can come in between time spent with families and relationships, as well as the joy of being around those people. “7th Hour” as a track is very much a departure from some of the more outgoing songs on “Sinners & Saints”, and releasing this video gives fans another insight into Allen’s well-rounded depth as an artist going forward.
