Hip hop is truly global, and you can see the international appeal for the genre on the new release from French producers Zoom & Rectape, entitled “Delivery”. It’s not hard to hear what era of hip hop the pair of producers grew up with, as they look to mix the contemporary with boom bap sounds of earlier times. Verses come in the form of features, including the legendary Masta Ace, as well as 11 other featured artists. Zoom & Rectape do the golden era justice, with slick samples and hard hitting percussion throughout the album, and their myriad of features don’t lack when it comes to the microphone, either.
