Swagg Dinero has a new single and video out, and he invokes the spirit of Brooklyn and UK drill with “Duce.” The track blends dark chords, trap percussion and plenty of tweaked bass, reminiscent of tracks by the late Pop Smoke and UK artists like Stormzy. The flow is slower to begin, but Dinero picks up the pace, bringing in more traditional hip hop elements to his verses. It all molds together in a way that feels familiar while still sounding unique, which is important. The visual from Chrisp is, as per usual, on point, with the artist taking over the gas station and streets for a performance clip.
