Since late 2014, Plaid Hawaii has been making moves in the rising tropical house and indie dance scenes. The refreshing sound of Plaid Hawaii, which finds a blissful balance between digital and live instrumentation, can best be described as “tropidelic”. Musical selections, remixes and original productions are meticulously blended to create an upbeat and sexy live set where most can’t help but fall in love. Named one of Magnetic Magazine’s “6 Must-See Artists Playing North Coast Music Festival” in 2016. Plaid Hawaii has been featured at numerous major music festivals and has shared the stage with many established artists across the scene such as Odesza, GRiZ, Sam Feldt, Petit Biscuit, Matoma, Illenium, Cherub, RL Grime, Klingande, Autograf, Phutureprimitive, Two Friends, Zimmer, SNBRN, Sunsquabi and Manic Focus. Between his extraordinary ability to adapt to any type of set and by constantly seeking to capture an emotion, rather than jumping on whatever style is trending right now; Jason’s vision and following hasn’t stopped building momentum since day one.

Immortal Girlfriend is thoroughly immersed in their niche of retro inspired electronic music. Moving vocals croon over infectious baselines, balanced with atmospheric tones. William and Kevin Bush, brothers, have been making music under the name since 2016, but their musical journey spans much longer than that. ‘Daybreak’ was independently released June of 2017, and since then has been played far and wide, the title track enjoying ample airtime on the locally beloved 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. Since the firestorm that resulted from their first body of work, the duo has rode the wave into numerous Milwaukee venues.
Milwaukee, WI based electronic artist “LUXI” has been refining her musical process for years, while this past year finally finding her stride in the hypnotic dance based electro pop niche, with raw vocals and emotional melodies, she draws much inspiration from personal and relatable topics, to express them in a way that can connect with others.
Addicted to the DIY underground, she prefers small intimate shows where the experience can truly become a magical connection between performer and audience, drawing listeners in with hard-hitting beats and catchy bass lines, they will be sure to walk away from the night with a memorable experience.
This event is a Nice FM Artist Showcase. NiceFM is an international production house and electronic label based out of Milwaukee, USA. Our sound is warm and we love the crackle of vinyl and VHS tapes… but we’re not about to get all avant-garde on you. Instead, we’d like to shape the soundtrack to your summer with a blend of hazy, experimental textures and warbly synthetic sounds. We aren’t jarring or in your face, and we won’t shy away from the odd or enjoyable. Our artists are an eclectic bunch, bending genres in a loose-knit community of computer musicians and mad scientist composers. We’re happy to have you here with us. Welcome to the party.
