Next Paperback Hero ‘Nowhere To Run’ Release Show f. Ellie Jackson, Dial-Up Stepmom

October 1 @ 7:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Coming together to play music and celebrate the release of the new ‘Nowhere To Run’ EP by Next Paperback Hero (out everywhere Sept 13) at the historic Linneman’s Riverwest Inn.

$10 cover at the door, show starts at 7:30 pm
1001 E Locust St, Milwaukee, WI 53212

The evening will feature the powerful and proudly sad songs of Ellie Jackson, the Chicago-based saxophone trio Dial-Up Stepmom and their glorious soundscapes, and the first performance of Next Paperback Hero with a full band. Expect more than a few collaborations and surprises in addition to NPH playing the new EP through live.
Next Paperback Hero:
Emotive indie rock by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nathan Honoré from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Melodic baritone vocals deliver confessional lyrics that are as resilient as they are vulnerable, complementing the guitar-driven sound with an undercurrent of restlessness. Whether performing solo or as a band, Next Paperback Hero retains the intimacy of a singer-songwriter while creating a distinctly soulful, dynamic experience.

Dial-Up Stepmom:
Dial-up Stepmom was founded on three fundamental principles – excessive amounts of tenor saxophone, lots of reverb, and a passion for sad songs. Join us in our quarter-life crisis as we play some of our favorite melancholy tunes.

Ellie Jackson:
Ellie Jackson delivers determined vulnerability exploring emotions through guitars, stories, amplification and a careful balance of harmony and dissonance that creates pulpy folk rock songs you may find in a context less frequently tied to the Midwest.
