Gorilla Knifefight is a solo punk project of Matt Glassel, who is known as the guitarist of Peroxide and as a boon to the Riverwest DIY scene through running the space Tsunami MKE (formerly Nausicaa). His new record is a lash-out about basic human rights being denied, Nazis being allowed space, life being too short to not be happy, and cops getting protected by a brutally unjust system. The production features a drum machine and galloping guitar riffs; Glassel’s pent-up energy reflects the forceful yearn for a better world for you, me, and the oppressed everywhere.
