Llich – “Werewolves on my Mind”

Lo-fi pop artist llich is out with a new single. He personifies the titular mythical creature, sharing a visceral description of becoming one himself. It’s got an experimental quality; the guitar triumphantly gallops as the industrial rhythm booms behind it. Charlie Hoehnen’s vocals are fittingly haunting. AUDIO: Cairns – “This is Also the Place”

Indie-experimental project Cairns is out with a new EP. Warm and gentle, these tracks are a continuation of John Larkin’s sonic expansion. He sings of meandering through isolation and meditation as blurry, wavy melodies crescendo into dynamic soundscapes. One of the most interesting segments here is the coda of “Dark and Calm” which features some delightful electronics sampling. Eli Smith
