Lifetime Achievement Award has been steadily developing their sound and following, largely in Riverwest over the past couple of years. The trio, led by singer/songwriter Jay Joslyn, have a lot of music out already, but added to that collection last week with the release of the “January, 2018” EP. The project is six songs that Joslyn had been working on but delayed releasing until now. One listen to the EP, though, and you can hear the band’s talent as a collective on display, with well-crafted songs that would catch any indie fan’s attention. The tracks are brutally honest, with styles and sounds ranging from the upbeat “Human Therapy” to the more vulnerable-sounding “Cold Sick”.
