While we enter the depths of a Wisconsin winter, things are warming up today in Milwaukee, and you can’t help but wonder if that correlates with the release of a new compilation album from Nice FM. Today we have the premiere of “Comp5NightSwim”, the latest in the label’s series of roster showcases. As the name might imply, this is a little bit of a darker sound overall, with individual tracks from the entire roster fitting the same collective mold. True to form, though, the project maintains the chill, euphoric sound that we’ve come to hear on the previous compilations. It’s a testament to Dashcam and the rest of the label to do what they do with “Night Swim”; creating and curating tracks that all fit the same motif, yet preserve the individuality of the artists themselves.
