While it feels like they are few and far between in Milwaukee’s music scene, there are some truly soulful, talented vocalists making music here. One of them is religious R&B artist Arnold Cifax Jr. With a blues and contemporary pop influence, Cifax Jr. recently released “Honest”, the second single from his upcoming EP, “Far From Fair”. While technically a religious track, it doesn’t necessarily give off that feel when you listen to it, save for the lyrical content. In fact, the track could show up in the middle of a myriad of playlists, and not feel out of place one bit. “Far From Fair” drops later this winter, and it will be interesting to see the impact that it hopefully has on Milwaukee music.
